Change the computer on my F800GS to display MPG instead of KM/L or whatever it is.

Nope. Not something I'd ever thought about TBH. Had a fiddle, read the manual. Can't see anything about it and it stayed on MPG all the time.

I would like to do the same with my F800GS. With the Yamaha Tenere, you could do this by holding both the select and reset buttons with the bike off and then turn the ignition on.....

You're thinking of the speedo, not the computer as the Tenere doesn't have one...

What's nice about the Tenere and many other bikes is that the speedo is digital and it takes just a couple of seconds to switch from MPH to KPH and visa versa. BMW in their wisdom however have analogue speedos. Duh.
