Do you need a really cheap bike lift and got no money then try this!
I have a suggestion which is dirt cheap about 20-30 notes much cheaper than 300-450 for a proper bike lift it goes like this.
Get some thick wide wooden planks old scoffoling planks are good, fix them togther to make a platform as wide as you want- Good idea to put some 1inch thick plywood or partical board over the planks to make the ramp nice and smooth and stronger.
Buy some heavy duty farm gate hinges and fix one end of the platform to the garage wall with the hinges this will form a ramp. Use long Rawlbolts to fix the hinges to the wall not screws or bolt right through the wall.
Now Ride/Push your bike up the ramp leave it in gear and put it on the centre stand if you have one. If the bike tries to run backward then fix some cargo straps to the wall and tie them to the handlebars to hold it
Now use a trolly jack to lift up the other end of the platform to be level with the front, place some blocks of wood or bricks under the end and remove the trolly jack .
Allways remember to use cargo straps to steady the bike on the stand as it could topple over when working on it tie the bike to the stand.
Nice and cheap and you can store it on the floor under car when not in use or even fold it flat up against the wall! Just use a rope and pully like a drawbridge.
Simples!!
