On my Adventure I am always having issues with pumping tyres up. With wire wheel spokes just about in the way, its virtually impossible to use a standard petrol station |Pay as You go air inflator. Even the PCL double outlet ones will not go on, especially the rear wheel, there just ain't enough room.
SO I bought one of those 90 degree adapters to screw on each time....... it doesn't screw down far enough, so the air escapes around it..... so I went to Halfords and bought a rubber hose with a fold down connector, cut the end off the 90 degree thingy, and made this, much easier, and works a treat.
hope this helps... total cost was about £12.

Very neat solution - well done.
Me, I always check my tyre pressures before I leave home using a pencil type pressure gauge, using a footpump if more pressure is required. When away from home I carry said pressure gauge and if required I add pressure using a mini compressor.
Just my ramblings
