Motoscan diagnostic tool

Post by Chunkychops »

Hi
I am looking for some advice - I serviced my bike (F800GS) for the 1st time and it is now running better than it has ever run before :D .
I was looking for a 911-GS alternative diagnostic tool and came across the motoscan app which then needs to be linked to an appropriate ODB adaptor:
https://www.motoscan.de/#
https://www.obd-2.de/shop/motorrad/fuer-bmw/
Does anyone have any hands on experience of this tool? Is it worth the money? Any other reasonably priced alternatives? My German friend asked his mechanic who seemed to think it was a 'toy' - but I guess he would say that.
Thanks in advance

I use the Motoscan app paired with an OBDLink LX tool on my F800GS. Both items work well together.

There's a big thread on advrider about it:
