Never had a go myself but seen the videos on youtube.

Suppose to be fine for stainless steel but definitely not good on chrome!

I had a little go on the exhaust of the 950 a few months back after seeing one of theses videos.
the results were good but not fantastic, one of the components of toilet cleaners is Sulphuric acid. it was advised not to leave it on to long and to agitate it with green scourer etc. not sure what effect this stuff would have on any bearings, grease, hoses if left on for to long

I will try it again when I give the bike a good clean see if I can't make the exhaust shine again.
There again you may be better of removing the exhaust and using a polishing wheel

Or drop it into an electro-polishing company and save all the elbow-grease and, buying different mops and compounds.

Wonder wheels works wonders on stainless header pipes. Probably eat away alloy etc quicker than you can say it.

Solvo autosol on a piece of cardboard with a little elbow grease brings stainless steel up like a mirror.

There's a product called "bar keepers friend"- it's about £4.00 & this works well in removing oxidisation safely.
