No, I have to confess this was last march and yes it was around that temp I reckon, but not confirmed.dubber68 wrote:Special one, was that -5.5 and camping this year? If so then you are in the lead.

Good effort Steve but trying to keep it just this season. Ridden in temps that low but never camped in them. Take my hat off to all those that have.Steve T wrote:Done plenty of riding in the snow, but never known what the temperature was.
Did end up covered in frost after camping up on Skye last spring, with the bikes cheap stick on temp gauge showing a lowest temperature of -5c overnight, if that counts?

Minus 30c (but regretfully, not this winter, but a few years ago when we lived in Sweden)

Love all these photos of yousunes in the snow. Is it safer riding in the snow, cause obviously you travel slower and if you fall off it's...well softer...no experience in this field...

Yes, cold enough to literally freeze our eyelashes and nostrils together! But fun and beautiful, as our greyhounds show, as it's a dry, crisp and proper cold. Fantastic frozen lakes too, for the spiked-tyred bikes and our snow scooter.

Re: king of cold
That's me in the pic with SteveT, it wasn't too cold that day, just around freezing, and I was also there on Skye last spring camping, so I'm same as Steve T, -5c.
