Not been to Telford for years...but I remember it as a very dangerous event to attend with an empty van and a full wallet!Snaf MKII wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 12:16 pm Yes, it's a '76 Elsinore that I had a terminal engine failure on, at some point in the early 80's I put an XL125 engine in it and registered it. I then sold it minus engine for someone to restore to original in the mid 90's but never signed the log book over or sent it off as scrap. Then I came across it at the Telford classic show in 2014 as a rolling chassis with a £150 price tag, needless to say it came home with me and now has an XR200 engine it.
Tax and Mot exempt I should just insure it and use it as a local run around.

Link = Telford Classic and Twinshock show, is this the sort of thing for van filling and wallet emptying that you mean Richard?
Did you get any pictures of that twin cylinder enduro bike at Portugal vintage Trophy last year.- gbags

Link: Knobblies, here with some SE Asian twit hacking them off to make them ‘street’.
Regarding Puke 50’s, it was also my first bike in about ‘75. It was bloody amazing all day.
The next day it was already feeling slow and by the third day it was horrific.
My mate bought a Garelli with gears. God, I hated him.
No idea what the reg was but my first car was AOD 939B. I honestly don’t know my wife’s phone number or even my current bike’s number but that first car and my service number are etched on my brain.

LINK: Saw. A couple of Beta Thumpertalk regulars in the U.S. use these chainsaw mountings for getting through the more remote trails.

Well, that and lots of other stuff...
Now, that is interesting. Back in the day, I had a Morini 3 1/2 and was in the Morini Rider's Club. If memory serves me right, one member put the suspension from his 3 1/2 onto a motocrosser for hill-climbing, than put the MX suspension onto the Morini to make a trail bike...I wonder if that was it!
Sadly, I don't think I saw the Morini in Portugal, but will look through my pics again.
Morini actually did quite well in the ISDE and even the Dakar with the 72 degree V-twin.
