This guy was outside the front door just now. About 12cm long. Walked over from the lake I suppose, or maybe a bird dropped it. A crayfish? Poor thing only had one claw. It was quite aggressive actually but 'armless I guess...

(What has this to do with motorbikes? Well you can't see in the picture, but he just stepped off of a KTM 500 EXC... so there.)

Godspeed - from the light in your pictures it looks like you got up and aboout before the sparrows had started to chirp. A wise move when riding the Lake district narrower passes.
