Its wet in the west you know!
Went through to Strontian on Thursday for the annual ADV Scotland get together. The weather forecast said it was going to be wet . . . . and unfortunately they got it right .
One picture from the ride west on Thursday, at a favourite layby with a view, for a nice cuppa
Castle Tioram photod on Fridays wander
Always nice to get a picture of the Glenn Finnan monument with the bike in the way
And then the same with the H. Potter train viaduct . . .
Final photo is from the climb away from Loch Sheil, heading back to Strontian

Three from yesterday in Spain.
It was a hot one yesterday. Mostly 36° in the afternoon, 37.5 for a while. Better than rain though.

Re: A photo you took, today
Hi Peter.
The CB5X left the plot in June last year. The bike pictured is its replacement, a NC750X Got it approx 2 hours after completing the sale of the CB
They are, to me & my way of riding, chalk & cheese, with the NC having a load of character via the 270 degree crank rotating within the engine cases.
Plus a little bit more torque means Steve is a very happy bunny when riding the NC, where as miles on the CB5X were just sort of "mehh"!
Put over 7k miles on it in the 12 months I've had it . . . along with 6 and a bit k miles on the F8GS (just MOT'd this morning

A mate of mine has just bought a new CB500X as he’s recently new to motorcycling.
They say those NC750x machines don’t rev too high apparently - is this the case, or maybe that was the older NC700x model..? They look to tick all boxes I’m sure…! Enjoy!

Re: A photo you took, today
Manual indeed
A little over 6k revs for the red line, which is virtually the same as the old 700 version, but the torque low down makes that figure irrelavent. 6th gear for cruising at the NSL, 4th & 5th will get you past almost any traffic at realistic speeds
All that and a frunk that can take a flip front helmet no problem and an average mpg of over 85mpg over the mileage I've covered - all works for me
Not great off road though, but hey, thats what the F8GS is for
