I know the Moto2 / WSS rider Gino Rea a bit. He gets given bikes sometimes to just hoof about on, write something nice about them and let it be know it's what he's riding. Nice eh?

He turned up at my place with a KTM690 Duke a few years back, which was pretty much a brand new model back then, so I had a go for a few kms. What a total hoot to ride. You can thrash it to the red line in every gear without superbike levels of mentalism, but still very enjoyable - wheelies easily, light, flickable and that lovely thumping engine. The 390 is the same recipe. KTM really know how to build fun bikes.

Still testing the extremes of the DR200 and it does not disappoint. Did the TET from Chepstow to Gloucester and found it only takes about half as long as it did on the CRF Rally.

Alas I forgot about the rear brake issue so wasn't enjoying slowing down so much. Tomorrow is maintenance day...

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Suzuki DR200 Djebel.

HRC colours always look good, going right back to the RC30 and beyond.

Finally got to ride around the Nant-y-Moch moors, and I'm definitely going again, as I'm leading a TRF ride round there on 9th :)
