Quite right. Rip the damn thing out. Boy do I hate bike alarms. Bloody things. Pain in the backside. They don't deter thieves with a van anyway and they constantly flatten batteries or immobilise the bike leaving you stranded. One of my old Bimotas had one and a mouse scratching its arse would set it off at night.

If I was searching to buy a bike back in the UK, and if there were plenty to choose from (e.g.GSXR750), I would actively avoid the ones with alarms - although the seller usually saw it as an asset. It's the insurance companies to blame I suppose. Personally I'd rather pay a bit of extra premium to not have one.

Nice (98/99?) Blade - I always liked that colour combo.

Let us know if the ties work without too much of a fiddle - I ask, as I have barrels to refit on a 750-4 motor and need to buy some more ring compressors.... or ties, maybe :)
Shite mate. I've ordered two more compressors. It probably could be done but i ain't got the patience and i also ripped a genuine Yamaha base gasket in the process. :(

This was Regent Street , taken yesterday not by me but my next door neighbour.

I Just got back from my mums in Hertfordshire and commented to him how busy the traffic streaming out of London was . So he showed me the photo................No further questions then !

A fresh new edit of the first day I collected the fabulous SilverWing on July 21st this year. The owner gave me a new front tyre which I strapped on over the rear seat.
I obviously took the longer countryside route home through the beautiful Scottish mountains, a fantastic five hour ride home.

If we’re changing this thread into ‘A photo I took years ago’:-

I came across this one while on a zoom meeting the other night.
