5 minutes in.
I'm interested to know what others do when they fall off on solo journeys (other than curse themselves for not going with someone else). How edo you combat that moment of panic? Or is it just an experience thing, and the more you do it the more you chill about it?

Re: Falling off on London Lane, Surrey Hills.
Well it happened to me a few weeks ago
One minute your upright, 1/100th of a second later my helmet was scraping the ground. I was going about 40kmh.
Luckily at the time I didn't think I had a serious injury, my knee hurt a bit, but I got up and practiced my french and
then went to check the bike. All OK there, pick it up, on the stand, check it again, all ok.
Get my breath, relax and back on my bike. Keep riding for another 1.5 hrs and get home.
Long story short, end up in A+E, damaged knee muscles and fractured leg
Still badly bruised, limited movement in my knee and still quite swollen. Sick leave from work and driving the wife up the wall

Fractured leg????
I broke my 5th metatarsal (a 'Beckham beak') and kept riding for the rest of the day, but a fractured leg is very impressive!
