I had Anne 2s on for 7000miles and as a road tyre they were faultless IMHO, regularly scrap footrests, awesome in the wet and decent lifespan. Haven't ridden with the Heidi's in the dry yet :( and to be honest I cant see them being as good as the Annes but you never know.

If your talking 19inch front & 17inch rear, I've had Michelin Pilot Roads on a Varadero and they were ace. Well up to the job on hooning corners and they had a good life - 7k from the rear.
Also a user of the and great believer in Anakees, on Varadero, Africa Twin and my latest steed, the F800GS.

Just my tuppence worth.

Aren't trail attacks just the same as Tourances? I've got them on now and they've been superb. Only had this set on for a couple of thousand miles and got me up to the top of the Stella plus hooning around in the alps! I want a full road pattern during the summer and trial types in the winter.Grippier the better!

The other option is a set of 17" wheels for the road and spokes for the off road

I had thought of that but lots of money for a set of Rockster wheels, discs abs rings etc....
I'm pretty sure they are the only ones that fit straight in without messing around with spacers.

I'm gonna put Annakees on the alloys in the spring. They currently have tourances on them which have about 1500 left on them, then I have a set of annies with about the same left. So I'm using the spokes with Heidis on now and for the dirt, then a new set of Annies when I've worn the other two sets out.

Avon Distanzia would be my recommendation. Get them worn in, find a nice bit of road and you'll scare yourself s**tless long before your tyres let go.

Trail attacks are not the most road biased tyre out there for the GSA but they work for me I am on my third set,
I upset a couple of sports bikes on the A59 by going past them just before a island and getting my knee down
I seen them again at settle and when they seen it was a old fat bugger I think it made them feel worse
But I have heard that the michelins are a better road tyre
