Disposable Gloves

Post by Thedktor »

Mornin' all

Running out of gloves in the garage, current box is Ansell Touch N Tuff 92-600 which offer a good compromise between feel and strength.

£20 now for 100, anyone recommend anything else? Pre Covid my budget was nearer 5 quid for a box ! Screwfix did a good range but no longer,

Thanks for any suggestions

Yeah, I've had this problem too. I use Grippaz 'fishscale' orange gloves, pre-covid they were around £8.50 for 50 from Machine Mart. But then MM stopped selling disposable gloves as they were apparently all going to NHS etc.
I ended up getting a box of Grippaz from the importer, Unisafe Global in London, but the price had rocketed to nearly £23 incl. p&p! I'll be sticking with them, though, as they are so much better than cheaper nitryl gloves for both fit and durability.

I use gardening gloves. Last 10-20 times longer, but are 10-20 times as expensive, so it evens out in the long run. The gardening gloves feel much better and my hands sweat less.

I bought a box of Bold black nitrile gloves for @£18 last year they are now £33 per box.
When I go to Inexcess stores they have a good range of rubber/work gloves and pretty cheap too.
The ones I use are only £2 a pair good and sturdy can do most tasks with them . Just use the nitrile glove for the really oily greasy jobs.

Who would have thought that glove type was even a thing!!! i just use the cheapo ones from the local market, but they do split quite easily, perhaps i shall have to shop around for something a little bit more robust from now on lol... :D

Used them in the past good gloves. They also shot up in price at the beginning of the pandemic seems they have stabilized back to around pre-pandemic price.

Do nitrile gloves disintegrate with oil/solvents?

I buy vinyl gloves from my local market.
