Could Wales please ask for them back in an Elgin Marbles like fashion. We could then keep our English highways and byways and save a load of money on building a tunnel.

Re: Other Stuff
yes .. we can do that, Snaf ... in fact (honest) I have just sent a letter to Tony Hancock ,, er.. i mean Matt Hankock, as this is a dire health issue, wot with all them fumes off the electric cars n stuff, in the proposed tunnel, asking... nay .. demanding them back .. immediately .. time has gone on and you ingliss have had them far too long
our welsh rugby team have offered to carry the blue stones back, one under each arm, so we wont be needing percy sledge, or a team of aurox .. meaning the repositioning, back in the precelis, will happen well within the astronomical time line before the winter solstice of .. er .. the geological near future.
Unfortunately, the gross overweight sandstone big buggers will still remain in that encircling gesture, above the new ingliss tunnel, gathering electric fumes, and decomposing at an astounding rate ... calculated from the Planck constant and the alpha value .

Re: Other Stuff
btw
did you notice in the bbc film, that they can calculate the AGE of a stone
from the energy stored in its quartz ganules
I always thought that , in the future, the story of all these ancient stones would be calculated from the vibration/ frequencies held within?

Exactly, Dave.
although the Eu is appealing on so many fronts... especially its nearness for bike touring
in this global world of trade connections etc there are other options available, besides the nearest one ... the new canzuk idea will be based on trade and cooperation, rather than central dicatorship and power moves

yep .. i was and am a bit sceptical, myself, Spike ...
it seems to be an old propaganda exercise by brexiteers, updated, but not enough, for modern consumption ...
but its positivity makes such a compelling read to counteract the gloom and doom of the ... remoaners
