Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus
What a mess Europe is making of the vaccination programme, they are on the verge of a much predicted 3rd wave and they are still finding excuses to not vaccinate. I give up on getting over there this year.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

Totally agree with you. I've got 3 gites in France still booked from 2019, well before the pandemic, and it's not looking good for this year too.

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus
Just heard a piece on UK Breakfast TV this morning about 'sea-cations'. A new idea designed to avoid covid international travel rules. You board one of those great big cruiseliners in a port like Hull and you sail around the UK coast for a few days.

I would rather stick pins in my eyes. And several other delicate places too.
So you get yourself to Hull docks (lovely), get on a giant floating gin palace plastic hotel surrounded by the same kind of nauseating people who also think this would be a good idea, and you vomit your way around british coastal waters eating and drinking whenever you don't feel ill, in a mask, hoping you don't catch a disease that famously loves spreading its way around cruise ships. All to help save the obnoxious polluting cruise industry from bankruptcy. WTF...?

Can’t agree more. At least after 24 hours on the Santander boat, you’ve got something exciting to look forward to. That’s of course if you put the return sailing out of your mind for a while.
