When we're all locked down and can't go out 'consuming' stuff maybe it will highlight the fact that we all buy, eat, drink and throw away far too much crap.
When we can't work and pay for all the stuff we have (but don't own) it will highlight just how deep society is caught in the credit system.
When massive FTSE 250 companies start dropping like flies it will highlight how much of our sacred pensions are overexposed to Corporate fraud all around the globe ..... the Norton case will look like childs play and the Banking crisis of 2008 will be shown as the warning that we didn't learn from.
I hope these things don't happen because our families are part of society but we seriously need to take a look at ourselves and the unsustainable world we contribute to.
On a positive note the roads should be empty so start stockpiling cheap petrol for the bikes before the OPEC cartel regains control of the oil price.
Just shows how much Is frittered away on crap and unnecessary stuff
How much some people are in debt - this could see a lot of debt being recalled
Years ago most Mums would be at home looking after the kids and this isolation would be easier to manage, plus in the 1970’s people were more thrifty and could cook real meals, instead of ping-ping ones
One good thing is, there might be something altruistic happening where communities come together to help each other, as without each other we cannot function
Thanks for writing it

I agree .. a very insightful piece of writing.
I have long wondered how the world can be run on the nefarious and imaginary `confidence` and not based on real things you can actually touch .. how we base our value of things say on a brightly coloured rock, and invest in gooky paintings.
How peoples pensions, for which they have scimped and scraped all their lives, can suddenly be raided by people in power.
`How the world works ` has always been a mystery to me too
