Fritz the technical designer probably specified different units that were substantial but Hermut the bean counter said they were too expensive so they fitted the compromise for you to upgrade as a quest for improved reliability

They are a pain but can be relatively easily changed, if you have good eyes, a steady hand and a mini solder iron...and a few of these ( because you will melt one on your first attempt ) !

I've done both indicator switches on my 75k miles GSA and they are still working

Think BMW had to replace loads of these and maybe on a recall. Hot weather as well as corrosion caused numerous problems.

ye changed a few over the years from a damaged cluster bought some time ago, great that Fritz multiplied the trouble for me 3 times too, for me to get plenty of practice with the iron, I suck st soldering. I have to admit the bike is a user 134K but these little low current canbus switch's have no place in an outside environment. Thanks for the link, I have read elsewhere that care may be needed buying replacements they may have different stroke lengths, but no personal knowledge myself.

As per title;

I'd like to offer Ward-16 Leukemia Unit Monklands Hospital (Airdrie, Scotland) a very special/huge "THANK YOU" mention for caring for me during my chemotherapy and complicated Stem-Cell Transplant twenty months ago. Utterly fabulous nursing team/medical staff, I love them all. They've kept me alive with a rare type of blood cancer (A.L.L.).

I owe the magnificent medical team everything....! I'm such a lucky guy to still be here, I so appreciate every day given to me and often think about the ones that went through the same treatment as me that never made it, simply tragic/devistating..!!
