Firstly, this is NOT a sign up thread for the Ireland Rally, but if you're thinking of attending, this post is to make you aware of the significant changes for next years event.
I'll not go into the full details of what is proposed at this time, as I need to have an idea of the interest to decide if the plan can come together to make it all work.
The 2020 Rally will be held at a venue in Lough Erne, Co Fermanagh on the weekend of 8th May.
The rally will be limited to approximately 40 places on a first come first served basis (i.e a cash deposit - which will be non refundable) as the organisers will be required to place a large £££ deposit to confirm the booking for those attending.
As usual, there will be an all day ride out on Saturday with venues for breakfast and lunch factored in.
These is the all important bar on site.
Food will be available on the Friday night i.e. Bar snacks something like chicken and chips in a basket (£5.00pp)
Chalet bungalows are available on site for that weekend and sleep between 8-12 persons, with a kitchen, lounge and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The rental is per bungalow, so the cost works out less expensive if you can get a group to fill it. Bedding etc is supplied so all you need is a wash bag and a towel. Less gear to bring with you. £290 for a 10 berth chalet for 2 nights.
You can of course bring your tent with access to decent free shower/toilet facilities. Camping fees will be confirmed later, maybe £6pppn
After the 'All Day Ride Out' on Saturday night we will have our dinner on a floating restaurant whilst you cruise Lough Erne over several hours. It has basic bar facilities on board. Not confirmed but hopefully not more than £30pp
Access to a heated swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and fitness suite if you desire, but at additional cost to the user. £12 for full W.E
We are hoping a full cooked breakfast will be available on site on Sunday morning. Maybe £5.00pp
As I say, I just need an expression of interest at this point before I confirm the booking which is held provisionally for 8th May 2020.
Just add your name to this threat to give me an idea if we can reach the required number to make it all possible.
The ABR Ireland team have put significant effort into pulling this all together, so if it does works out, I'll post a rally sign up thread outlining the full rally details with all costs and how to pay the non refundable deposit to confirm your place which as stated is limited to approximately 40 places
Thanks
Heff
