Any IT types here?

Post by Toecutter »

I mounted my son's KitVision camera on my bike for a recent trip, and I'm a bit stuck with the files. For reasons I don't understand, the camera films continuously but saves the footage in 5 minute sections as separate files. Viewing them directly from the SD card they just play as one, but playing them from the hard drive I copied them to they only play as individual files. Anyone know how I can sort it so they play as one long video? And how I can time lapse them without shelling out forty quid for Microsoft Hyperlaps Pro?
Thanks :S

Just throw them into windows movie maker? Or maybe look at VLC, I think you can create play lists on it. Both should be free.
Currently an F650GS, DR350 and RV125 in the family stable.

Freemake Video Converter is also good. Drag and drop all your individual files (in order) into it and it will combine them into one file. Its very easy to use and free to download.

Give video converter a try from Digiber, there is a "merge into one file" option available to combine your files into a big one.

I have ever used to combine few little clips, not bad.

if you're using windows and have windows media player
installed (free download from Microsoft)
just go to the directory where you saved them files
tool bar
go to edit
select all
select files
then right click and add to media player

the other suggestions are good as well
