Probably, IIRC Harold had to double time his battle weary men from the North to the South to face Wiliam. It was far from ideal.
Correct. The Northumbrian Princes lost the Battle of Fulford against the Norse, only escaping by the sacrifice of their bodyguard, who were all slaughtered. Harold took an army North, beating the Norse at the Battle of Stamford Bridge.
Harold then marched his army back south, with the promise of Northumbrian support to follow on.
Harold ignored advice to rest his army, instead choosing to engage the Normans immediately. The Northumbrians didn't turn up and the result is in the Tapestry.
The same Northumbrians leaders soon pledged allegiance to William the Bastard (soon to be renamed Conqueror), but reneged several times once William had returned to Normandy to fight the French.
William upon his return, unleashed the "Harrying of the North" to teach them a lesson.

You missed an excellent opportunity to say 'the rest is tapestry"
I wonder if Johnston, Gove and Davis etc will get a similar write up in the history books?
Boris the Unready reneged on the fishermen after fighting the war for them. Soon after the Scottish rebellion meant the Tory Lairds were ousted and driven south. With the alliance in tatters it was is wasn't long the Holy European Empire raised an Army led by The Virgin Queen Ursula von der Leyen and her General Junkers the Bastard.

This sentence hidden in the middle of the article is interesting.
“The site is one of 10 inland border facilities the government has either opened, is building, or is planning to deal with the full suite of customs, tariffs and duties checks that will be operation from July this year.”
It implies that not only did the government take four years not to prepare for this farce, but that they expect there to be delays for a long while to come, with all the damage to British industries that this implies.

Good question; and if they do, will the era be given a descriptive - similar to "the Reformation" or " Edwardian".

I suspect someone will write a Chronicle of this time. The opening paragraph will begin....
