Pathetic
True that they are having a tantrum caused by their own dithering. But in terms of childish threats we are in position to throw stones considering the apalling behavior from our goverment over Northern Island and withdrawal agreement.
Perhaps an assessment of risk and consequence would help resolve your question Brenden?

The UK's behaviour with regard to NI and withdrawal agreement will not cost lives.

The EU foul up with regard to vaccines will almost certainly cost lives somewhere - why should that be here?

On that basis the current EU bullying approach deserves far more criticism.

Their mistakes are not in question, and no doubt their handling of this highlights the shortfalls of bureaucracy. Their bullying rhetoric has resulted in nothing and been withdrawn. Wouldn't be surprised if Ursula resigns.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Absolute howler from Von Der Leyen. Don't know what she was thinking. And sure enough she realises straight away and reverses a few hours later. Thank goodness for that much. If we can't have leaders who don't make mistakes at least we should have leaders who admit to them and do an urgent about turn when it's needed. It's a blot on her pretty clean copybook though.

This current cock-up is the consequence of brexit colliding with covid. A perfect storm of deliberate incompetence and poorly controlled events.

Wonder what's next?

This is an example of the European Commission acting without properly consulting with the European Parliament. They are well known for it and it is one of the downsides of the EU system. They act in the best (perceived) interests of the EU, but miss the point that every decision, while maybe pragmatic, is also political.

This policy retraction does not reverse the decision to limit exports of vaccine from the EU, that possible embargo will remain.

If anything, it is a clear warning that despite being neighbours, the EU will continue to act in its own interests and we are sitting outside. Brexiteers can whine on about the treatment, but what did they expect?

What's next? Who knows, but if you are in the playground it is better to have 26 pals backing you up in a fight than standing alone against 27.

The Commonwealth !! after we'd robbed their countries of their resources , told them how they should behave , enslaved a lot of them . What actual wealth did they get from it ??
