thermos food container?

I know like me others work outdoors and need hot food at breaktime be that when it happens...

so I need something that keeps soup,pasta and rice thingys hot after being microwaved for around 2 hrs....needs to be water tight as stuff does fall over :whistle: ..also handy for solo trail rides in cooler britain..

yes I know reheating rice is bad

needs to hold around 1tr capacity....

The tea in my Thermos mug stays hot for 4 to 5 hours and is much better than the cheaper makes I've previously had.
Lots of 1 litre Thermal Food Flasks on Ebay but can't find a 'Thermos' branded one.

re-heating rice isn't bad at all as long as its been in the fridge as soon as it got cold, then is piping hot before eating again if you choose to reheat

I got the top of the range "Elements 5" 500ml mug. It keeps stuff hot for 5 or 6 hours - even out in the cold...

Used SS flasks on site for donkeys years , all but unbrakable but like any other once you start using the filling it'll go colder quicker (thumbs)

Cheers folks....i normally do either chilli or curry or paste with sauce and whats left eat for lunch in day or 2... So has rice mixed in or pasta...

Great reheated....but need to nuke it for reheat...have a stainless thermos for brews...

Must research further as dowt microwave would.like metal lol....need a plastic with either expanded foam or polystyrene insulation ...

I have a thermos soup/food flask, one with a wide neck. It'll hold heat for a few hours but it's not as efficient as a tea flask. The insulation is actually non metallic which means you can throw the flask full of food in a microwave oven to reheat the contents. It's also more robust & less likely to split/smash as a glass vacuum flash could.
