most folks dont know that the space length of line between the centre white lines is to advise of a potenial hazard...

the gap increases when hazard decreases...then again whats the highway code :whistle: and when did folks last read it...

question....whats the difference between a tocan and std crossing pedestrian traffic light sequence ;)

and what does the right/left hand lane marker do for hgv drivers on bends at junctions ?

On a crossing you have a flashing amber light after the red and if the crossing is clear you may go. On a standard light system there is no flashing amber and you may only go on green.

Also, on a toucan crossing, cyclists and pedestrians can both cross.

they don't always have zigzags used in conjunction with cycle paths
