pontarddulais town council wreath..........
Was presented to Paulinbont to place on the grave of the unknown soldier in Yepres next saturday in a new memorial the welsh government has erected to remember the all the Welsh soldiers who lost their lives in the first world war.
Up until now there has been no memorial to honor the Welsh men and woman of the first word war.
Martin Davies and Paul Leiv will be riding to France and Belgium to visit the WW1 sites
and attending the memorial service of the unvailing of the Welsh Memorial in Yepres. Steve jones will be joining up with the pair on Wednesday this week and placing a cross on behalf of my mum and myself on my great grandfathers grave in Vermille cemetary in Bethune.
Somr photos of them as they were about to leave on their trip

I've seen the "Last Post" ceremony at Ypres twice now - something everybody should try and see sometime in their life. The town was destroyed in WW1 and rebuilt from plans they had kept safe elsewhere - I particularly recommend the museum situated in the Cloth Hall.
