Hubert Auriol passed at the young age of 68. One of the riding hero's of our generation. (vid for any younger folk who may not have known of his achievements)

RIP Hubert

Finished the penultimate stage in '87 on the big cagiva riding with 2 broken ankles after crashing whilst leading.... a legend :(

But what a refreshing change to see the big bikes in Africa...proper Dakar, not the current shameful clown circus in Saudi 'What time's the stoning?' Arabia.

Just read it on Ari Vatanen’s Facebook page & Huberts Auriol’s wife was killed in a bicycle accident in December so his daughters have lost both parents within a month RIP.
KLX250 presently concentrating on not spending money on farkles and summoning up the courage to throw it at the scenery.
