NHS and other similar workers putting it on the line for us
I myself have been through the doors of a few hospitals, more than once on my back, its not a place you choose to go generally but when you need these people you are very gratefull for their help, we may winge about this and that, but gratefull we are. Most working in the hospitals and frontline NHS tonight, tomorrow, the coming weeks and months would not have imagined when starting their careers caring for the rest of us that in 2020 they would be putting their lives on the line in such a way. I am not the best with words but to all of you here and around the rest of the world I say thank you

Thanks to not only the NHS(my wife is a nurse) but also the carers(my daughter and her bloke are in this category) the support staff, delivery drivers, supermarket workers, bin men and everyone else that is getting us through this. All i am required to do is stay at home and make sure this virus is delayed/contained.

Yes, I have a season ticket in the NHS (waiting for another op now) and I've never had anything but the best of care when in hospital.
I shall be clapping very loudly tonight

Yep, not all heroes wear capes, some wear rubber gloves.
I'll be clapping, not that anyone will be able to hear it from my garden...

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Another grateful thanks for the NHS, since retirement i have had a few reasons to visit their establishments and have nothing but praise for the care that I have received. That goes for many of my friends and acquaintances also.
I sincerely hope when this is all over the first thing on the agenda is a pay rise for nurses and other NHS staff.

I hope some way can be found to give them all an extra week's holiday in the coming year...but sadly there will be a backlog of 'routine' work to deal with.
Bless them all

How about a collective O.B.E. for the lot of em?
Seriously when this is (hopefully) over we all need to push for some substantial reward including better pay for their service.
Id suggest making all premier league football players and merchant bankers be forced to donate at least half their pay and bonuses towards it for a start
