That would make a good 2nd stop after doing the Lakes passes. I went round the back of Coniston on the way to the ferry. I will remember next time to go through Coniston. Cheers Bob

We'll have to work in a stop there on Sunday 14th when we do the 3 Lakes & 3 Passes run at the Cumbrian rally at Haggsbank

John, you could bag all 8 of the tarmac ones and many of the lakes in 1 day. 3 is only a hours rideAfrica John wrote:We'll have to work in a stop there on Sunday 14th when we do the 3 Lakes & 3 Passes run at the Cumbrian rally at Haggsbank

Hi PaulPaul-S wrote:John, you could bag all 8 of the tarmac ones and many of the lakes in 1 day. 3 is only a hours ride
Experience has taught me that by the time everyone has had breakfast and decided what they want to do as regards road ride or off road and generally fannied about, it's about 10am ish. The route for the 3 Lakes & 3 Passes says 150 miles from and back to Haggsbank, so about 3 hours in one go plus coffee/cig stops and general fannying about which probably means 5 or 6 hours. That looked reasonable given it's the Sunday and some folks will want to be off home at the end.
I need to look at the rout again to make sure Deano's place can be visited. Happy to send you the TomTom or GPX file for your comments.
See you soon buddy (thumbs)
