Yes brilliant day out but extremely hot!! got home around 7pm so a 12 hour riding day for me! I just poured myself out of my gear and belly flopped into the paddling pool lol ..(no pics of that though!!) Good to meet new people from here and nice seeing the red devils out practicing their stuff.
Thanks for leading Russ as usual a cracking big bike route. I just remembered did anyone else notice that abandoned GS in the first forest bit we did? wonder what that was all about...
Next time im making a weekend of it and bringing the PR7.

Re: Salisbury Plain Saturday 8th August 2020
Thanks Tramp for showing us around very good of ya, all who rode and made it a good day, and also Mark who kicked it off but could not make it. Had 3 nights away, home 1am this morning, dam hot for a Welsh guy. Tramps loop around the plain had a some bits that were familiar and some that were not, the off range stuff was all new to me and adding a nice bit to the mix. At the end of Saturday found myself at the southern end of the range and a BBQ at the campsite I was staying at the Northern so had a spirited ride back. One too many woops or holes resulted in me loosing my numberplate to my rear tyre and a sidepanel too, only noticing back at the campsite but still missing the BBQ. A quick 2 mile trip to the village to grab some grub and typically the plod pulled up behind me, a quick explanation and a promise to do something about it and they were very cool. Thumbs up to them. Sunday and Monday spent exploring the trails SE and SW, got some good rut riding practice in, glad it was dry some of them holes would have swallowed even a GS in the wet, curtailed eventually by a Rock somewhere near Yeovil disagreeing with my gear lever, destroying my gear linkage ball joint, a lot of cable tie bodge attempts and reduced gear changes got me home eventually. Thanks . A few pics.
