2020 ABR Ireland Rally - Sign Up Thread 8 - 10 May *CANCELLED*

Post by Heff »

After much deliberation between the hosts, we have decided to move the venue for next years event to;

The Share Discovery Village, 221 Lisnaskea Rd, Lisnaskea, Enniskillen BT92 0JZ, Co. Fermanagh on the shores of Lough Erne.

TripAdvisor shows a review score of 4.5/5

Full site information can be found here https://sharevillage.org/

In order to confirm this venue, a large NON-REFUNDABLE group deposit is necessary and therefore I will have to ask those who are attending to provide a £25 deposit per person. This is required to confirm the booking and the allocation of the required chalets/camping pitches/restaurant cruiser/breakfast etc.

Please post your intensions in this thread (ie number of persons, tents or chalet, cruiser and food or special dietary needs, breakfast on Sunday etc.) I will then PM you with the payment account details. When the funds are received, I will add you to the list of confirmed attendees. If you are attending as a group, please nominate one person to co-ordinate your booking through me.

The balance of monies due will be collected on your arrival at the venue by the hosts. (Cash only)

An area will be reserved for ABR campers and hopefully signposted. Camp fees @ £6 per person per night. Showers etc are free.

There are chalets available and are all twin rooms (NO doubles) and each twin room has its own en-suite. Full bedding with quilts, sheets pillows etc are provided. Each chalet is fully equipped with a kitchenette, TV, central heating, cutlery, plates, glasses, cups etc.

The 10 berth chalet will cost £290 for the Friday and Saturday, regardless of the number of occupants and are located close the reserved camping area.

There are smaller 8 berth chalets available, which are £260 for the weekend, again this price is fixed regardless of the number of occupants, but these chalets will NOT be beside the reserved ABR camping area.

Maybe some attendees who are travelling in twos or threes can agree to group together and share a chalet and split the cost? Just a thought.

There is a leisure suite open from 0800 -2200 and has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room etc but this will incur additional costs to the user. An unlimited weekend pass can be purchased for £12

The full rally weekend is planned as follows.

Friday 8th May Arrival at the Share Village. Pitch your tent or unpack at your chalet. Meet and greet old friends and new faces over a few beer in the on site bar. Bar snacks (chicken & chips or similar) are available on the Friday night @ £5 per person, payable to the bar staff.

Saturday 9th May. This will commence with Flintys 'All Day Ride-Out' leaving the Village at approximately 08:30. A breakfast stop will be factored in around 09:15. The actual route is still in the planning stage and will be posted at a later date. At this time, there are no off road sections planned. The route will have numerous photo stops, smoke breaks etc with at least an hour for lunch.

On our return to the Village around 18:00/18:30 (TBC later) you can make use of the numerous leisure facilities if necessary (additional cost)

Around 19:30/20:00 we will be dining on the floating restaurant, the Inish Cruiser, which also has a well stocked bar (No draught).
We have arranged a full 'Roast Dinner' to be served whilst we cruise around the shores of Lough Erne over a few hours. The pier is within the complex and only a few minutes walk. The cost of this is will be approximately £22.50 per person

The bar in the complex will be available afterwards.

Sunday 10th May. A cooked breakfast will be available on site and will be £5 per person.
No rush this morning, unless you've got an early ferry etc, so just chill and pack when you are ready, before saying your goodbyes to old and hopefully new friends.

See you there.

I have been asked to clarify a few matters regarding costs.

This is a very popular destination and generally it books up quite quickly on the lead up to the summer months, mainly due to the vast water sports on offer, if you've looked at the web site, you'll see why.

We have the weekend provisionally booked for 8th May, but they will not hold this booking indefinitely and it will only be secured upon payment of the deposit to confirm the number of campers, chalets and the floating restaurant.

I'll explain what's covered by the deposit.

What's included;

The 'Full Roast Dinner' and the cruise on the Lough @ £22.50 per person.
Cooked breakfast on Sunday morning on site @ £5 per person.
Camping is £6 per person per night, so the weekend @ £12.
Chalets prices are fixed at £290 for a 10 berth and £260 for an 8 berth for the full weekend. The fixed cost is divided by the number using it, ie £290 divided by 10 = £29 per person. £260 divided by 8 = £32.50 per person. The price per person obviously increases if there are less people per chalet as the rental remains the same.

Assuming you will be availing of the Saturday night dinner and the Sunday breakfast = £27.50

Campers
Food @ £27.50 + camp fees of £12 = £39.50. Less your £25 deposit, leaves £14,50 due on your arrival

Chalets
Food @ £27.50 + your portion of the chalet eg £29 = £56.50. Less your £25 deposit, leaves £31.50 due on your arrival. (based on 10 sharing)

Whats not included.
Everything not mentioned above, such as bar food on Friday night, or the breakfast and lunch on the Saturday ride out etc etc. Leisure suite.

We have managed to secure an excellent deal for our event which will only happen with your support and deposits paid.

Regards
