During the summer … ah, summer, anyone care to remember yet another ‘barbeque summer’ … a few hearty souls gathered on Salisbury Plain under the auspices of “none of us have a clue how to do this”, cast caution to the wind & headed off out on to Wiltshire’s finest tracks & trails.
The idea of the day was to get as many of us novice A-bikers as possible off the blacktop & out into the bundoo. A few scrapes, one dented fence post & a broken down DR Big later, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves
Since then, I hear that y’all been off developing Si Pavey like skills, bolting on crash bars & adorning bikes with BBRR stickers – so heres the question, who is up for it again? But this time with more mud??
For now, let’s target Saturday 15 October. I don’t think that that say clashes with anything else but the one caveat I would add is that we will just need to check what the Army is up to that day & how much of SPTA will be open. That info isn’t published for a while but for now lets shoot for the 15th & take it from there
The general idea would be to follow the same format as last time: Meet up at Countess Services on the A303, break down into groups, spend the day getting covered in gloop. Simple!
So, anyone up for it??

Tramp - hope you manage to fix your leak ! A good point that you make about tyres & one that I was going to raise in due course
I'll be on TKCs ... I shall leave others to make their own choices - after all, this is still supposed to be a free country
