Being a complete Newb to adventure bike riding I have a question which may seem dim but here goes!!! ive never been to a Rally, so what does it entail? is it like a general turn up look around at some bikes talk to some Tossers! set up a tent get pissed and maybe tag on the end of a ride out if you see a queue forming! or is it like a proper organised competition meeting which you need a licence for and permission and scrutinising to attend the ride outs?
Im hoping it is more like the first guess!!! but will somebody please enlighten me as I am hoping to maybe attend the Salisbury plain rally in the summer and don't want to look a complete twat doing the wrong thing and being ill prepared.

The Salisbury plain thing I do has various led rides on the Saturday for different bikes and skill levels.
There is a bar Friday and Saturday night and a fire on Sat evening.
The rides out start around 10am and are back around 4pm ish wiith about 80-100 miles off road.
All you need do is add your name to the list...turn up..pay £5 per tent per night to me and drink beer when not riding.
Oh and watch Stewie changing a tyre...and running away from Si's exposed legs and finally listening to the synchronised snoring from across the site.
I think people enjoyed last year...there are pics on here somewhere.
