I ride an Africa Twin so happy plodding along at a sensible pace, I've not been over to Kent before so it's new territory for me.
Do you think that the byways would be OK on a heavy old thing like mine at the mo or a bit dodgy? I've got loads of off road experience but still very respectful when its as soggy as it is now.

No probs mate, I'm on a Tiger 800xc, as long as you twin has half decent off road tyres, no worries come along. Check out the meeting points, the oakdene and then Hollingbourne.

Oh, Edmund, can it be true, that I hold here in my mortal hand a nugget of purest green?

Hi, look forward to meeting you guys. The "Coast to Coast" trip was a blast, but twas my first off-road experience and with a very fast group unfortunately, the bikes (plural, I got through 2)were a hell of a mess by the end of the 8 days - my nickname became "Butcher Bob" as there was little left of the second bike when we got back.
Hope not to repeat it on my own wheels !
