Time to start planning a bunkhouse weekend in North Wales, the mid Wales trip was fantastic so itching to get something else booked in.
There a great network of trails in North Wales, especially between Llangollen and Betws-y-coed. And there just happens to be a bunkhouse slap bang in the middle that can accommodate 18 of us on the second weekend in October.
So, arrive Friday October 10th. Ride all day Saturday 11th, home Sunday 12th. Obviously a few beers in the evenings.
Good thing about this bunkhouse is that we also will have the sole use of a BBQ hut. So guaranteed BBQ whatever the weather. Just the thing for an autumns evening.
So, 18 max (min 15). Cost is £29 each for both nights. Owners know we are on bikes.
Any bike welcome but previous off road experience required, and suitable knobblies, lots of muddy and grassy riding...would be a hard slog on road tyres.
Mix of terrain. Some mountain/hill passes, rocky climbs. Mud and grass. Corwen carwash for the brave. Hill of doom, heartbrake hill if we get that far. Wayfarer.
The Bunkhouse, Website
You are always sure of a warm welcome at Tyddyn Bychan rural bunkhouse. We are a traditional 18th century Welsh farmhouse complex set in a south facing hollow in beautiful rural surroundings yet less than a mile from the main A5.
Tyddyn Bychan has two acres of private land amidst farmland in the peaceful, picturesque hamlet of Cefn Brith. The nearest shop is in Cerrigydrudion which is over 2 miles away
Turn off the A5 at Cerrigydrudion. Take B4501 out of village for Llyn Brenig; take the turning on the left to Cefn Brith. About 2 miles down the lane there is a phone box on the left, chapel on the right and the road widens for a lay-by. The gate for Tyddyn is on the left directly opposite a junction on the right.
Alternatively, continue along A5 to Glasfryn and then turn right for Cefn Brith. Continue along lane for about eight tenths of a mile. The gate for Tyddyn is on the right directly opposite a junction.

What's the bed situation like at your place if Adie decides she wants a night out with Tracey?MarkR wrote:I'd be stupid not to turn up for this.

I've not mentioned this to her yet so don't go arranging things before I give you the all clear
