my mate, Jon, is looking for a
standard height rear linkage .. for a 690 Enduro R. ..2015 model.
He has just bought a 690 R, but it has a lowering link, at the rear, and he is a tall guy.
Does anyone on here know of an original linkage set, for sale ????
tia .. Gary.

Sorry, no, but if that's KTM John say hello from me.
I've still got his old bashplate on my 950...it's stopped a few rocks and is still doing a good job!

Re: std Rear Linkage, wanted, 690 R.
Hmmm.
My newly acquired ‘14 has the standard linkage. What does it take to remove and refit a lowering linkage?
I might be tempted to do a swap if it’s an easy enough DIY job. I assume it is in good condition...I presume mine is but I gaven’t really looked as I’ve only ridden it 175 miles so far.
Even though I’m 6’3, I’m only a 33” inside leg so swinging my knackered 66 year old right leg over the seat is only going to get more awkward. How much does it lower it?

Re: std Rear Linkage, wanted, 690 R.
Thanks Gary.
An alternative, if this doesn’t work out, is to sell John the old original link from my ‘15 Husky FE450, if it is the same part, as I have that sitting in a box in the bike shed. I only had that lowered in 2019 but Freestyle supplied and fitted their own lowering link.
The swap is still preferred though.
I have put up a separate post about how easy a DIY job it might be.

No panic from my end Gary.
It might be very mutually convenient though, as long as the couriers do there job quickly.

Re: std Rear Linkage, wanted, 690 R.
just spoke to Jon .. he will take the link off tomorrow and send it to you recorded delivery, tommorrow. if you are ok with that.
it is a kouba link, colour gold, and in vg condition, .. it will lower about an inch and 1/4 or so ... any longer will have tyre rub petrol tank, apparently. .. from experience i know that that will make a big difference to getting on and off, (as the front can be lowered the same amount).
he is happy with a straight swap, but it will be easier to send the 690R link to MY address, as i need to go up Jon's soon anyway (for him to do my chain).
so if all ok, i will send you (pm) my address and you could send me yours and postcode.
Gary.
ps ...it needs to be the R of the 690
