Hi Richard, The 790 sort of fell between two stools in that I'm too aged and lacking in talent to do proper trail riding on it so I'll leave that to the 501 and I've replaced the 790 with a GS which is better on the road and will be reserved for very gentle trail riding, also the engine noise rattle on the 790 really put me off KTMs always tend to have harsh-sounding engines but really the 790 sounded like a bag of nails.

Makes sense...perhaps we could do a smaller bike ride in Wilts this summer.

Absolutely Mikes bought a GS as well to replace his Africa Twin so we are now proper Ewan and Charlies, I can go pretty well whenever Mike less so, I'll get him to contact you, the hotel we stayed in last time was fine.
