Re: Auction
Sorry to see CW has gone...used by a couple of my BMW-owning friends who had nothing but good to say of it.
Dorset seems to be a difficult place to have a franchised dealership.

Re: Auction
Wow that's a lot of stuff.
Sad that they went under, especially considering the bike market is picking up so strongly (as far as I can tell).

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: Auction
NOT gone under--simply had enough of BMW corporate after 35 years, slowing down, going back to roots, and selling Royal Enfield. I've known Dave and Wally C for about 30 years or so and done tours with Dave. http://www.britishdealernews.co.uk/gene ... al-enfield

Re: Auction
Everything seems to be up for sale, including the vacuum cleaner.
Similar to the fate of the original BVM Moto in Stroud a few years back. BMW only want their bikes sold in glass palaces in trading estates. God knows why...the BVM shop was on the main road out from Stroud to Cirencester so got a great deal of passing motorcycle traffic. Sadly when the BM franchise went, so did many of the big-spender customers.

I've not long moved to the Stroud area. Is that where the weirdly big BBQ/lawn mower place is?Richard Simpson Mark II wrote: โFri Feb 26, 2021 6:56 pm Everything seems to be up for sale, including the vacuum cleaner.

Re: Auction
Look at all the 'new' outlets selling expensive cars and most are in prominent positions on busy road trading estates. They are designed to attract PCP renters with coffee and comfy chairs, the dirty garages are round the back. It must work for the big European car manufacturers so it will work for the bikes too.Richard Simpson Mark II wrote: โFri Feb 26, 2021 6:56 pm BMW only want their bikes sold in glass palaces in trading estates. We 50 somethings looking for a cash deal are not the customers of the future.
