Re: Don't see these come up for sale very often
I always fancied one of those but they were not available in UK at the time. Hydraulic valve mechanism, if I remember correctly. And shaft drive - there was a lot 'right' about this bike, but it disappeared into obscurity far too soon. And not so 'little' in the day, when a 750 was regarded as a big bike! I have to say, the red-engined, red/white/blue version was/is a nicer looking moto IMO. I'd imagine getting spares etc. would now be not that easy. However, I still quite like the idea of having a pristine example in the living room.

Although it now looks dated, it comes from a time of sensible design

I can remember being offered a good one in the white/red/blue colours with the red painted engine for £800, I declined . You couldn't give them away at one time

Brilliant find Dave, I have always liked them, from red engine, shaft drive, rothmans livery, awesome machine.

I know where there are 4 of them tucked away. At least 2 in working order, with one of the non runners being a limited edition version
Spares are like rocking horse poo & hens teeth, so it takes a dedicated collector to keep them going.

Looks like it can tackle quite a bit, and sounds great at 1.20.
Is that an on/off/reserve tap thing on top of the tank on the left-hand side?

Yeah, Wow!
I vaguely remember them in showrooms at the time, but I was so into sports bikes back then that I never took much notice. What a stunner. Bit like an HRC RC30 coloured dirt bike.
