Contemplating a 701

What's my 990 worth you reckon?

2012 Dakar edition
16500 miles
Mot
Service history by previous owner then serviced by myself every 3k

Sm Pro wheels 2.5 rear and 1.85 front with billet hubs

High fender kit

Rade garage led rally fairing

Renthal High bars

Msc ralle moto steering dampner

Rottweiler induction kit

Rottweiler storage box

Rade garage undersea storage compartment

Zen overland rear rack

Touratech rear master cylinder gaurd

Carbon engine covers

Adv spec sump gaurd

Remus titanium single exhaust conversion

Suspension raised to 245mm travel

Super enduro 0.90kg front springs

Custom graphics kit

Rally fuel tank caps

Oberon clutch slave cylinder

Rottweiler twin fan kit

This 990 is one hell of a set up bike and shifts on and off road.

Has a few marks here and there but nothing bad at all.

I'm not sure what it's worth but I'd suggest having a good go on a 701 before commiting.

I've had a 690 and I'm on a 990 now..... Oh.... I wonder if the 990 is actually a better all rounder. Although I suppose the husky has better suspension and a less vibey motor which were two bugbears of mine on the 690.

I find the 990 cossetts my crap riding whereas the 690 (shit 701 comparison) was more of a fighter, still a nice bike mind.

Im rambling, just enjoying a bit of quiet time in front of the fire exercising my forefinger!

Good luck selling her. I know of a chap looking for one so I'll direct t him here...

Go 790R.
Lighter than 990, faster, good suspension, great offroad, better fuel economy, more comfy and better on faster roads than 701/690.
790R feels same weight as 701/690 when pushing around

701/690: yes lighter than 790R, but a 500exc/501 will do the same work and be better offroad and up to 75mph on road.

For adventure touring/trail riding 790r makes 701/690 redundant IMHO....

I wouldn't touch a 790!

That footpeg issue is just plain idiotic on ktm's part.

Not to mention the price.

The performance is negligible against the 990 and certainly not enough to fork out that amount of money.

The footpeg assembly is bolted the the engine case.

Been more than one report of it cracking the engine case.
