Digging up a very old thread... I managed to lose my ugly stick on a trail, somewhere... need a replacement.
is anyone still making them? Anyone got a spare for sale?

Thanks Tom. That looks a bit more beefy than needed on a trail bike... but worth thinking about if I cant acquire an ugly stick.

I've got one of those "beefy" ugly sticks, great design and works well but.......they are very heavy, to much for trails hence never used mine. You could always use a aluminium crutch, cut it down and put a hook or t piece...happy days and nice and light.

I’ve been thinking about re-using a walking stick (I work in a hospital, loads knocking about that will no longer be used for patients). Would be interested to know if others had successfully done this... photos would be great.

I made one out of my old crutches Dave, I'll get a photo tomorrow.

Here you go Dave, mine ranges from 42 - 62cms, I'm someone in the hospital could find you an old crutch :D
