Managed to trial erect the hammock today and it went up easy enough with good tree straps and karabiners included in the kit. Quality looks good on the stitching etc but unfortunately it's too short for me. I'll keep hold of it as it was cheap enough but will probably shell out for a longer one for sleeping overnight in.

I've been hammocking for 15 years and wouldnt be without my clark.

I have an NX250 but the latest is the 270. It's been down to -28 with no issues, good tarps and very very well made. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. After a night in a well set up clark, you will set fire to your DD and never look back.

Jeez you're right about it not being cheap. Might need to make sure I am going to stick with it before spending that kind of money. I already have a small fortune invested in some high end tents and stuff.

make adjustable leg mounts to cove 6 inch of uneven ground makes the bed chair option the best

Plenty of valuable advice on this thread. I hope is not dead yet because I am very interested in hammock as a sleeping solution. Unfortunately not often is easy to find appropriate trees to fix it to so was looking at fairly portable stand/poles and to be honest I have found some but those are either not very portable (size matters on the bike) or quite pricey (or both). And I can see there is few options available in US but I am fairly reluctant of buying from across the ocean - delivery prices are slightly elevated and long time of delivery, not mentioning the hustle if you need return for any reason. So I am interested in any solutions.

Hammock not visible there but present - cheap single available at Decathlon. Wasn't fixed high enough to keep my back side of the ground but comfy enough and keeping me from sliding of the cliffs (sloped groun)

Some of the expensive American stuff is now available in the uk, hengehammocks www.hengehammocks.com are now an official reseller of Warbonnet hammocks and kit. Henge also do some trick suspension rigs, and will also make custom tree straps, I had them make 2 sets of 5m daisychain straps for me

Henge Hammocks are brilliant and they will make almost any hammock custom rigging for you. I have purchased a couple of sets of daisy chain suspension straps,a tarp ridgeline and tarp adjustable tie downs. I am on the verge of obsession trying to get my hammock kit lighter and easier to use and set up.
