Afternoon ABR collective; so, I'm preparing to set off for a couple of weeks bimbling about and I've decided to wash my Klim gear using Nikwax Tech wash. I've followed the instructions to the letter, spun it twice and now it's on the whirly gig outside drying, so far so good, now, it says it needs ironing to reactivate the water repellant treatment:-
My ironing technician is unavailable (and to be honest she's not very good at it anyway) so, my question is:-
Is this stage necessary and how hot is a warm iron? I don't have a tumble dryer.
I've given my helmet a really good polish this morning too and washed the insides, they were filthy, I'm not sure how it goes back together...

Didn't someone on another mention they used a hair dryer instead of an iron.
Have a huge pile of laundry here send your technician down as she obviously needs the practice and as they say practise makes perfect (thumbs)

I think I've managed to get my helmet liner back in correctly(ish), I had a look for how to do that on the interweb too and I've learnt all sorts about my helmet, who knew it'd got five different ventilation points, the whole of the top bit slides back and there's summer/winter flaps under the inner crown!SHarper wrote: ...I've given my helmet a really good polish this morning too and washed the insides, they were filthy, I'm not sure how it goes back together...

Here, for your pleasure, is a photograph of my arse, in print, from when I was famous(ish) (and had a full head of hair)
