You beat me to it Mark
Spork, possibly the greatest invention of the modern era. Don't forget a decent penknife & thats the utensils sorted.
As for the 780g stool weight.....hmm that's about a can of beer. Just make sure the stool is slightly bigger. If you were closer I have a stool you could have, postage would be more than a new one. Not the most comfortable of seating contraptions but a lot better than wet ground. They sell the Gelert one in Wilkinsons for less.
Have fun on your journey
Help please is this the best adventure kit?

Re: One man adventure
Thanks for the tip.
The weight thing is not only based around the bike. I will be parking up and heading into Amsterdam. I will have to carry everything with me and stash it somewhere.

+1 on the spork, great bit of kit.
A bit more expence but I'd never be without my MSR whisperlite.

Bike runs on unleaded and so does the stove.

Hmm, I like to sleep well - keeps me awake for the ride. Those foam mats are grim to sleep on (I think) and they are bulky if you've got to be carrying your kit around off the bike. I'd go for a 3/4 length Thermarest. They fold up really small and if you are in a small tent then the missing 1/4 is where your bike jacket goes. Just a thought...Brenhden wrote:Thanks Willy,
I'll get one of those Β£5 foam rollmats, they are super light and will fit in the 30l tube bag with the tent poles.

Hey Pablo,
I have also agonised over stoves, it didn't occur to me that I could save carrying fuel this way. I will see what I can find second hand.
Many thanks

Re: One man adventure
I would always go for a 2 man tent when motorcycling (3 man when travelling with a partner).
This gives you space for gear and sleeping.
