Not sure if it's that same guy. I know that Ronnie Smith (who was a friend of mine when I did endurance racing) had the magic roundabout design commissioned, presumably from Splat Design - because their name appears on the helmet. Then FM decided to make it available in their range and I bought the daytime one and the darker one (called 'Time for Bed'). It was always a very comfortable lid too, and everyone wanted to pick it up and take a look at the beautiful paintwork. You've got Ermintrude, Zebedee, Dougal and all them on there...

He was a real up and coming designer but it was 25+ years ago Dave so to be honest I can't remember. His mate was a chap called Nobby who did lots of airbrush work on front cover bikes for Back Street Heroes magazine.
