Re: Comfortable jeans
Just another choice.
I've never bought a pair for motorcycling but a pair came free with a helmet promotion and I do wear them for local run outs were before I'd probably have just gone out wearing my work trousers or normal jeans.
They are twice as heavy as normal jeans and are abrasive/impact resistant with some sort of Kevlar weave. They also seem to keep the wind out better than normal jeans, probably as tough mx jeans without the extra padding.
Not aerated.
Not waterproof
Do bend at the knee

OP, I did a three hour ride in them yesterday without issue.

Re: Comfortable jeans
I've never been a fan of motorcycle jeans but I like PMJ: they produce a variety of differing cuts/colours, offering different protection levels using Aramaid construction, Knox armour etc.. The Rider model provides a roomy fit, feel great on and a good ranges of sizes that seem to fit.
Re: Comfortable jeans
Thanks for all the suggestions, now to await the opportunity to visit some shops to try some. As a thought, anyone use padded cycling shorts (underneath regular bike jeans), or should I just man-up and bear it??
Re: Comfortable jeans
If you like the feeling of wearing a full nappy then they are brilliant
One of the best and cheapest options I found was a sheep skin with an inflatable stadium cushion..
Though the more saddle time you get the more your arse will get used to it
