Re: Body armour
Hi Teflon. Roughly how much do you want to spend? Do you want the full Ninja Turtle look, or something more subtle?

Re: Body armour
Not a massive amount at the minute as I'm new to this offroading lark but maybe in the future spend a little more what do you suggest

This is the baby ! - What it has over other options is kidney protection. One of the main problems for me is I've loaned one but I don't yet own one !

Re: Body armour
Well I've managed OK for about 5 years wearing this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STERN-MOTOCR ... 8nWHH1NSCQ
It's big and proper ninja turtle. Makes you look like an NFL player. Of course the stuff from A-Stars (Bionic etc) and Leatt is lighter, slimmer and cleverer I'm sure, but it costs 3 or 4 times as much. I crash a lot (purely for demonstration purposes, not because I'm a total nob obviously), and it's probably protected me from quite a bit of pain over the years.
But whatever you buy, that sharp stick or rock that has been waiting patiently in the woods for years for you to fall on it will still find the weak point and bugger up your day...

Re: Body armour
That's the sort of kit I used to wear when offroading too Dave and would have no worries about using one again. I also used to ride a Beta 350RR and a 450RR ....... and used to crash a lot so it got plenty of testing

Re: Body armour
Greetings,
Teflon, it might be worth your contacting Owen at Manchester Extreme, he stocks or can obtain most makes of clothing.
His shop is not too far from you so you could perhaps visit, try the fit, but phone first. Limited parking at the rear of the shop.

I wear a Leat upper body chest protector but not the full system. I also bounce quite well too
