Good kit for teenage pillion ?

Post by Mjhb » Thu Dec 26, 2019 3:45 pm

Hi all,

I’m planning a road trip for my 16 year old son and I to celebrate his exams finishing and my 50th.

Looking to do Norway/Sweden in summer 2020. Probably a 3-4 week trip.

I’m having problems finding kit for him, as he’s very slightly built and only a smidge over 5ft tall. We can expect another couple of inches by the time we go, apparently ...

Anyway, any thought on kit ? I’d like to find something textile, decent quality, and waterproof.

Middle of the road budget wise - I gather Halvarssons do junior sizes but can’t find a UK stockist.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

There should be lots of motocross kit out there for the smaller frame, which should give the protection (and could be sold on once too small), maybe one trip only wear waterproofs over the top?

Hi. I have a really nice branded KTM leather textile touring jacket as brand new in a small youth size, complete with all armor, liner and waterproof membrane. £400 new. I would sell it at £150 + postage, is literally new and unworn. Could send picture and further details if interested? Cheers Nige.
