Cheers all.
1) Must admit I'm split between 2 routes. Sell my tons of kit for green laning and touring and buy one decent suit.
2) Buy an army surplus top as above and shove in my rucksack

Re: Which Twat Suit ?
I recently bought a Halvarssons Dryway jckt from Touratech. The reason I bought it..it was reduced, the elbow and shoulder protection fitted nicely, with no 'sloppiness' I've had with other jackets. It keeps me dry, but,it seems to 'soak' up water, and takes ages to dry! I'm tempted to try the ICON DKR next?

I have to disagree. I think it is pretty good, especially considering the price. The first jacket I bought was a spada and it held up well, I still have it and it still does its job.Brads wrote:Worst kit I`ve ever used. Cheap for a reason.Putbinoot wrote:Have you looked at spada.
Garbage in fact.
To be fair I would want to be depending on it in torrential rain, I had second one and it did leak, but after after four hours of getting pissed on. However when it did give in it really did! Soaked!

I have a Moose Racing Expedition jacket and trousers which are nice and light. No complaints so far. Better for warmer weather.

Re: Which Twat Suit ?
Having bought many a suit with goretex etc and having once invested in a BMW rallye suit with liners etc.Philiptigerrice wrote:+1 for Catcitrus's comment...
I have a BMW Twatsuit Jacket and use their City Trousers.
Partly because they are one of few manufacturers who make things for people with waists above 34" But also - its good quality kit and the warranty is excellent.
I tend to do what CatCitrus says - buy a cheap oversuit (I have an Oxford £50 job, its lasted years) - then if its anything more than a hefty drizzle - or you're out in it for days - stick your oversuit on.
(thumbs)
I was fed up of being cold when really wet and whatever it made out of rain gets in eventually.
I now also ride in a BMW jacket and City trousers
Then stick on a waterproof over trousers and smock when it rains
I just find it works better in the UK climate
When nothing is going right - go left
Re: Which Twat Suit ?
I have a Lindstrands STR 2 piece suit that is about 6 years old. Washed a couple of times using TX-10 stuff and have yet to get wet in it. It wasn't cheap but glad I bought it. Would not flinch at buying again.
Re: Which Twat Suit ?
I agree with OB1, Klim, forget the liners and stay dry all the time, I have an original style traverse and always stay dry, overland trousers as I got a second pair and again always dry. You want be disappointed with Klim gear.
Finally back on a GS
