bike boots

Post by Gaffer64 »

Hi guys,

I feel I have narrowed the boots down to two, The W2 and the Sidi adventure. ~Any thoughts?

Cheers

Sidi Adventure, keep your feet dry, plenty of protection if you stray offroad, and standing on the pegs is a breeze, no sore feet! They also help reaching the deck from high adv style bikes due to the thick sole!

Our main gear test in issue 7 ABR is boots. If you cant wait, and without giving too much away, you'll not go wrong with the Sidi.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Even the big boss Alun (most honered Sir), It does sound as thought it is a one horse race, I take it the W2 is a non starter then? Also I might look at the Alpinstars Tech 3.

cheers again guys,

I have the W2, very pleased, proved to be waterproof under all but "over the knee conditions" unbelievably comfortable, crashed in them earlier in the year and no ill effects, never be as protective as a full moto cross boot, but for touring and a bit of laning I reckon they are perfect.
Finally back on a GS :D

Hi,

You were the only one to nod in the direction of the alpinestars tech 3, what are your thoughts, as they are a good 100 pounds cheaper than Sidi adventures. Any tips much appreciated.

Cheers
