Water (wine) bottle holder.

Post by Vincent Velocette »

I'd like one of these for cooking etc but the only one I can see is from Holan.

They charge more for posting that the carrier costs.

Googling suggests Zen Overland did them but no more?

Any suggestions welcome.

I've thought about this some.

It is easy a fairly cheap to get hold of molle bottle holders pouches etc. What one needs to make this work is two 1-2 foot square/oblong pieces of molle webbing (if that is what it's called) this I have not found. Given the molle webbing it would be fairly easy to make a tank harness or attach it elsewhere on the bike. Then add any pouches etc you like.

Someone must know someone who works with this molle stuff?

Cheers

Something like this may work

Anyone know approximately what size they are?

Think I've found something that would drape over the tank or pillion seat and be easy to secure

After much research I opted for one of these.

https://www.cycletourer.co.uk/cycletour ... uddy.shtml

It ticks all my boxes, light weight, adaptable and removable via a clever quick release spring washer system.

I tapped a couple of holes in my pannier meaning I can take the whole thing off and mount it on my pushbike water bottle bosses for carrying wine on those long weekends away.

Looks a good bit of kit and at a good price without the adventure bike added tax as put on most things from the usual sellers.
Nice find.
